Azzido Da Bass – Dooms Night (Timo Maas Mix)
At the very end of the 20th century – TImo Maas remixed Azzido Da Bass’s “Dooms Night” and it set up a new train of thought heading into the next Millenium. It was a track the coudn’t be catagorized. It was techno, it was house, it was breaks, it was trance. In clubalnd culture at that time, Sounds and genres were very catagorized. A style of music defined where you partied, who you hung out with and what type of clothes you wore. This one song broke that mould and had all Electronic sub cultures embracing it as their own. It even made it to the top 10 in the pop charts at the time, which was unheard of for an underground piece of music.
Even more amazing was watching Timo Maas himself drop Dooms Night at Red Ruby last year. 24 years later and still rockin’ the dancefloor!
